National Building Society The Brief Following a restructure, certain levels of staff were likely to have their responsibilities significantly changed. They were in an uncertain position of needing to clarify whether they would want to opt for a role change within their current organisation or alternatively apply for external positions. VT Methven was tasked with assisting staff in clarifying their perspective on their situation and to assist them in decision making and action planning for their future role. The Approach An intensive, one to one Career Path Mapping programme was provided for staff. A counselling skills based approach was necessary from the consultant to build trust and positive rapport with staff in order to allow an open and honest communication and positive action planning to take place.
